Requirements and Solutions

Schneider China has received a procurement request of frequency converter test bench equipment from the Schneider factory in the United States, to provide testing and verification for frequency converters manufactured by themselves.

Because the motors in the North American market are generally manufactured according to the NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Association) standards and also meet UL/CSA certified safety standards. If the test bench uses IEC/GB standard motors, it will be impossible to accurately verify the performance of the frequency converter, so the test bench needs to be equipped with motors that comply with NEMA standards.

Schneider China has extremely high requirements for the quality and after-sales support of motors. Generally the motors which can meet their needs are imported that has longer delivery time and higher prices. After weighing the pros and cons, WEIMA ELECTRIC recommended TECO NEMA motors to Schneider, which have the following advantages:

  1. High Quality: TECO is one of the top five motor manufacturers in the world, with a market share in the top three in the United States.

  2. After-Sales Service Guaranteed: We have a complete after-sales system in the United States.

  3. High Cost Performance: Pure NEMA standard motors can be produced in China with high cost-performance.

  4. Shorter delivery time: Due to motors are produced in China, the transportation time has been reduced to ensure fastest delivery.

For this project, WEIMA ELECTRIC provided 44 pieces of TECO AEHH8N NEMA motors with UL/CSA Certification of which has output power range from 0.75 to 90kW.
